Got back from Vegas on sunday night, now my liver hurts :P

spent three days there and came back all but broke so all-in-all it was a good trip

So here I am, sitting in Bridgeport, CA doing absolutely nothing. We got up here at 6:00 last night and we have done nothing all day since we're the advance party (unloading weapons, gear, vehicles) but none of that got here until tonight so the ten of us just slept all day.

Bridgeport, CA is at about 6800 ft. above sea level so it's pretty cold and the air is thin. within the next three weeks we will be conducting out cold-weather, mountain training at altitudes of about 13000 ft. in sub-freezing temps (-20 up there as of sunday night). fun times.

oh well, I'm a driver so most of the time I will be in my HMMWV where it is nice and warm.

I'll have more as the training progresses but that's my life as of now...fuck you, Marine Corps.

So here I am, stuck in the Las Vegas airport for another 5 hours... it sucks but at least I get to catch up on my sleep. I am home starting tomorrow (23rd) at 9:00 a.m. when my flight lands in Hartford, CT. Bored as hell right now so I'll probably be playing some Yahoo! Chess or something until it's time for me to start boarding....

I need some new Shows to add to my Netflix list... Right now I have all of Dexter, House and I Just re-watched Carnivale (sp?) which I wish they din't cancel... not so much into Anime anymore though, I guess I grew out of it a little. I still want to finish reading the Berserk Manga though ( /glare Casey) but I am ddesperately poor.

Guess I'll pose this question: What does everyone want for christmas? I need some ideas for my family and it usually helps to see what a few people need to make me remember what they like/need. I have been away freeom home for about 7 months now and I can't remember a lot. My cell phone doesn't work well on base and the only time I call is if I'm out of town (Vegas usually).

also, what's new in town? I have internet access in the terminal so I'll be online for a while (until boarding starts at 2230 PST (0130 EST), sorry about the military time, habits.
